Echomax has made installation a breeze, allowing you to fit it in any position around the mast, be it fore or aft. For optimal results, consider using Echomax stainless steel mast brackets (available separately) to position the reflector as high as possible on the mast. Secure it with Monel or stainless steel rivets (3/16 x 1/2" or 4.8 x 12.7mm). To prevent electrolytic action, apply zinc chromate paste between the bracket and mast, or use closed-cell foam tape. The installation process is straightforward: begin by fixing the top bracket to the mast in the desired location, measure the vertical distance between centers, mark the position of the lower bracket, then drill and secure it in place. Use two stainless steel hexagonal bolts (8mm diameter x 30mm long) to attach the Echomax reflector to the mounting brackets.
